Volunteers are the heartbeat of Family Promise affiliates and Family Promise Northern Shenandoah Valley is looking for volunteers to join our family! We partner with churches and volunteers from the community to provide them with the opportunity to serve and encourage the families in our program.
We want every volunteer to feel comfortable, so we do offer training (virtual or in-person). Volunteers directly working with our families are required to go through an orientation. Additional training, tailored to the specific volunteer project, will also be provided.

Current Ways You Can Support Us:

Childcare assistance: Help provide childcare during financial management classes.
​
Help in Our Donation Room: Do you like to organize? We need volunteers to help with the donations room.
​
Host a Donation Drive: With your family, friends, coworkers, or organization collect items like diapers, food hygiene products, and other basic needs.
​
Leadership: Guide an Affiliate to success by joining its board of directors. Affiliates need experts in a variety of areas such as finance, technology, and fundraising.

Move In team: Do you have a truck or SUV to help our Move-In team move furniture and belongings into the client’s new living space?
​
Organize a fundraising event to benefit FPNSV: Host a bake sale, spaghetti dinner, or other type of fundraising event at your church or organization to help raise awareness and funding for families.
