About the event

Family Promise Northern Shenandoah Valley is excited to announce our "Night Without a Bed" fundraising event. This event aims to raise awareness and funds for children and families in our community who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability. By participating you can become a CHAMPION FOR CHILDREN & THEIR FAMILIES.

Who can participate? Individuals, church youth groups, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, American Heritage Girls, clubs, organizations, businesses, and anyone willing to sleep without a bed. Together, we can make a significant impact and provide the support needed for these families to find stability and hope.

Are you ready to get involved?

You can start raising funds as early as September 1st and have a month to reach the goal. On the night of September 27, 2024, we ask participants to sleep anywhere without a bed--in a car, a treehouse, a tent outside your church, a living room floor, or a couch. We would love for you to share your experience on social media by using the hashtag #FPNSVnightwithoutabed.

How You Can Help:

· Participate: Register as an individual sleeper or a team and raise funds through donations. Individuals and teams are challenged to reach the FPNSV goal of $250 per individual or $500 per team.

· Register here and receive a packet of information including a Team Registration/Donation tracking form, a donation form, a Reflection Guide and Questions, a “Making Choices” activity, a Facilitator's Guide, and a game to help individuals and teams learn more about homelessness and poverty.

· Donate: Support our cause with a donation to provide essential resources for those in need.

· Spread the Word: Share this event with your network and help us raise awareness.

Donations can be made using the donation forms provided in the registration packet, at https://giv.li/ye2dpf or by sending a check to FPNSV, 131 Cameron St., Winchester, VA 22601. Your donations help fund our Prevention & Stabilization programs for families through the support of Case Management and Financial Counseling.
