About the event
Family Promise Northern Shenandoah Valley is hosting a night without a bed fundraising event kicking off September 1, 2024. You can become a CHAMPION FOR CHILDREN & THEIR FAMILIES experiencing homelessness by participating!
We are asking our supporters, followers, and volunteers to be willing to sleep without a bed on the night of September 27, 2024. While embarking on this mission to sleep without a bed you raise awareness for the ongoing issue of family homelessness in the Northern Shenandoah Valley, while raising funds to help us and the homeless one family at a time.
Are you ready to get involved?
You can start raising funds as early as September 1st and have a month to reach the goal. On the night of September 27, we ask our participants to sleep anywhere without a bed--in a car, a treehouse, a tent outside of your church, a living room floor, or a couch. We would love for you to share your experience on social media by using the hashtag #FPNSVnightwithoutabed.
What to Expect:
· Sleep in solidarity: Spend a night experiencing what it's like to sleep without a bed.
· Community support: Join neighbors, friends, and local businesses to make a difference; Individuals or families, Boy/Girl Scouts, Churches, Youth Groups, Businesses, Civic Groups, Agencies, Police Departments, etc.
